Introduction

Darian Cleaver awakens in the metropolis of New Atlantic City, NJ, with a pair of burnt scars where his black wings used to mount on his shoulder blades. A brand across his back in the letters of God, reading "Thou shalt not kill". Each time Darian disobeys the command, the writing changes to a lesser sin, tightening the leash, until eventually it reads "Thou shalt hate sin".
